After graduating from the Academy of Arts and a Master Class in Design (Artez) she left Holland for France to discover the world of Parisian elegance which influenced her work as an art director, illustrator and painter.
She developed ties with Japan when a Japanese company requests her artwork; this marks the beginning of a fifteen-year work-relation with Japan.
It’s in Tokyo where she was introduced to a discipline that will become a strong source of inspiration for her work:
The art of woodblock prints, delicate work of fine lines on off-white paper.
Her techniques vary with a predilection for the association of abstraction and precision, interlacing fine pencil lines with watercolour or oil paint.
Projects for numerous cosmetic brands such as Clarins, L'Oréal, Lancôme, etc In which she illustrated the beautified universe of women.
Creation of the key-visual for Escada Perfume "Cherry in the air" (campaign worldwide)
Art Director for companies such as GERBE (stockings made in France since 1904.) creation of a new image as well as the design of their collections.
Ines De La Fressange; Design of the home-wear collection and realization of the catalogue.

Both of these illustrators have their unique style of drawing and illustrating. They are using the ink pen lines as a base or contour and adding colours to make their works more interesting. They work using different techniques but they are also using watercolours which are one of the best tools in making fashion illustrations. I like this method because it is exciting and makes drawing kinda messy but at the same time very appealing.
In my fashion illustrations, I am going to use Adobe Sketch. I will inspire myself by Hatty Pedder's and Margot Van Huijkelom's illustrations because I am delighted with their works. My first step will be drawing the sketch, then, I will correct it with a black liner and, in the end, I will fill everything with watercolours to make all of the illustrations more colourful and show the colour palette.
