FINAL PROJECT: NAMES AND DESCRIPTIONS

 In this post, I would like to share the names/titles I came up with for the collection and specific designs. I have also made some descriptions talking about fabrics, style etc. They all will be added to the final portfolio on my website.

The collection is named Enlighted Darkness - Darkness - because of the colour black and mysterious look of the designs; Enlighted - because of the added lights and shimmery fabric.

And here is the short description - Enlighted Darkness is a mysterious collection inspired by the 16th and 17th-century fashion with a hint of futurism. Massive shimmery layers of fabrics combined with unique-shaped cleavage and single lights. Each piece is extraordinary and fits in both traditional and modern architecture. The falling rays of the sun add extra charm and make the fabric reflect the light. The collection takes us to the past and reminds us about the upcoming future.

2D pieces

DAWN

Dawn is a black massive dress characteristic because of the Edwardian S-bend corset with off-shoulder sleeves. The short bottom viscose with linen skirt has added lights and a long massive train made out of 5 layers of different length shimmery fabric with knife pleats.

TWINKLING PLEATS

Twinkling Pleats is a black dress full of falling lights inside the box pleats made out of shimmery fabric. Completed with the underbust corset with a triangular bra top and a halter tied strap made of viscose and linen.

LIGHT FALL

Light Fall is a volumetric black dress of 5 layers of regency pleats and individually added lights. The bottom is made of shimmery fabric. The top is an underbust corset with a raindrop-shaped none-strap bra top made of viscose and linen.

DRAGON VOLUME

Dragon Volume is an extraordinary black dress because of the dragon wing-shaped none strap bra top with an underbust corset made of viscose and linen. The bottom part is made of 3 layers of 2 different length tissue shaped pieces of shimmery fabric.

DARK FANTASY

Dark Fantasy is a slightly changed version of the Dragon Volume. It is a black mysterious two-piece of a top and a volumetric skirt. The top is an underbust corset with a dragon wing-shaped top made of viscose and linen and shimmery fabric for the details. It is tied with a velvet ribbon also used for the straps. The skirt is fastened with latches and has adjustable lengths. It can be a maxi, midi or mini - easily changed thanks to the latches. The skirt is made of 120 tissue shaped pieces of shimmery fabric folded in a specific way. The two-piece is an extraordinary garment that fits into numerous locations and can be presented in many ways. Magnificently reflects the light and shows its volume beautifully.
